The construction market increasingly demands quick, versatile, and easy-to-execute solutions without compromising quality. Gyptec Protect boards are an example of this need, being ideal for the construction of exterior walls, interior partitions, and ceilings both indoors and outdoors, offering excellent protection against moisture, fire, and high mechanical resistance.
Gyptec, in partnership with Mapei, has developed a set of systems that combine the excellent properties of the Gyptec Protect board with the quality of Mapei’s coating and finishing solutions, resulting in robust and efficient construction, meeting high-quality standards.
Solutions have been created for facades, interiors, and for the application of insulation over Gyptec Protect boards (ETICS system), allowing their use in light steel frame (LSF) constructions or mixed systems with industrialized light facades.

Application of Gyptec Protect Boards
To ensure the correct application of Gyptec Protect boards, a metal structure must be installed with the respective metal profiles and appropriate accessories, properly dimensioned in advance.
The boards are fixed to the metal structure using screws. In areas where cuts are made in the boards, leaving the gypsum exposed, it is recommended to locally apply the PRIMER G, to reinforce the protection of the board against moisture and promote a chemical separation between the gypsum and the cement.
Examples of Interior Fire Protection Systems:
